Lip blush is a semi-permanent makeup treatment that deposits pigment into the lips to enhance their natural colour, shape and definition.

Lip blush typically lasts around 1–3 years.

How long the pigment remains visible depends on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare routine and how well the area is cared for.

Most clients find the treatment manageable.

A topical numbing product is used to help keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. You may still feel light scratching, pressure or tingling.

A lip blush appointment usually takes around 2–3 hours, including consultation, colour selection, mapping, numbing and pigment application.

Immediately after treatment, the lips may appear brighter or darker than the final result and can feel slightly swollen or tender.

The lips may become dry or lightly flake during healing. The colour will gradually soften as the lips heal, with the final result developing over the following weeks.

Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, dryness or light flaking can occur.

Your practitioner will provide full aftercare instructions to help the area heal correctly and minimise irritation.
