Dermal filler results typically last between 6 and 18 months, depending on the treatment area, the type of filler used, your metabolism and other individual factors.

Areas with more movement, such as the lips, may require maintenance sooner than areas such as the cheeks or jawline.

Most clients find dermal filler treatments very manageable.

A numbing cream may be applied before treatment, and many dermal filler products also contain a local anaesthetic to help keep you comfortable.

You may feel a small amount of pressure or a slight pinching sensation during the injections.

Common side effects can include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising around the injection sites.
These effects are usually mild and settle within a few days.

Your practitioner will discuss possible side effects and aftercare with you before treatment.

You will usually notice an improvement immediately after treatment.

However, some initial swelling may be present, so the final result is best assessed once this has settled.

The treated area will continue to settle and soften over the following days and weeks.
