About Empowering Equine

We help children and young people find empowerment in their lives through meaningful connection with horses.

Our Equine Facilitated Leaming and supportive programmes are designed to help those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, additional needs, trauma, anxiety, stress, bereavement, bullying, care/adoption transitions and emotional or behavioural regulation difficulties

We focus on emotional regulation, building confidence and resillence, improving relationships and supporting better outcomes and quality of life.

I’m Sarah Birrane. With a background in NHS physiotherapy and many years working with children and young people. my passion is helping them find strength and empowerment through connection with horses.

Empowering Equine was born from my belief that every child deserves to feel heard. understood and capable – and that horses can help make that possible.
